Kiosk mode
One tablet on site, collecting responses from one person after another.
🏪 When to use it
Exhibitions, clinic receptions, store exits — anywhere one fixed device is used and people respond one after another.
⚙️ How it behaves
The form opens full screen, and after each submission it shows "Starting the next response…" and clears itself for the next person; after a few moments of inactivity, the "Tap to start" screen appears, and the ways out of the form stay blocked.
To get out, tap the top corner of the screen several times in a row until "Exit kiosk mode" opens, then enter the "Exit PIN"; the PIN is checked on the server.
Each device automatically gets an identifier, so the report tells you which device each response came from.
🔑 Turning it on and opening it
In the editor, turn on “Settings” → “Kiosk mode” and set the “Exit PIN” and “Restart after (seconds)”; then add ?kiosk=1 to the end of the form link to open it on a tablet. Kiosk-ready templates such as “Room cleaning checklist” and “Vehicle inspection checklist” have it on already.
Publishing a kiosk form requires the "Business" or "Institute" plan or one of the "Organizations & research" plans.
