📬 New-response emails for you and your colleagues

  1. 1 Open the form and go to the "Settings" tab The "Email notification" card is here.
  2. 2 Turn on "Email me" It goes to the email address of the form owner's account.
  3. 3 If colleagues should be notified too, enter their addresses under "Other recipients" with "Add" Up to five recipients.
  4. 4 For sensitive forms, turn off "Include answers in the email" When it's off, the email only says "New response received", with a link to the panel.
  5. 5 Click "Save notifications" It takes effect immediately; no need to republish.

🧾 Receipts for respondents

  1. 1 In the same card, turn on "Receipt for the respondent" A "Your response has been submitted" email, with the tracking code if it's turned on.
  2. 2 Under "Address from which field?", choose the form's email field The form must have an "Email" field; otherwise the receipt has nowhere to go.
  3. 3 Write the "Email subject" and "Message text" Use {{key}} to insert any field's answer into the text; for example, Hello {{name}}.
  4. 4 If you want respondents to see their answers too, turn on "Also see their own answers"
Notifications and receipts are free on all accounts.
A response that's "Queued" (when the account's response limit is full) doesn't trigger the form owner's email, but the respondent's receipt is still sent.
To prevent spam, emails per form per hour and receipts per address per day are capped; sending email requires the system's email service to be up and running.

🚨 Conditional alerts: only when it matters

If you only want the important responses rather than all of them — a low score, the word "complaint", a large amount — open the "Conditional alerts" card on the same "Settings" tab and click "New alert".

Set a condition in "When a new response…" (using the same condition language as logic rules), pick "Email" or "SMS" in "How should we notify?", and in "Who should be notified?" add the form owner, teammates, or other emails or phone numbers. "Max per hour" prevents a flood of messages, and "Alert history" keeps a record of them all.

"Test on recent responses" shows, before you save, what the rule would have done with recent responses, without sending anything.

Creating alerts is available from the "Pro" plan up, and its SMS channel from "Business" up.
