One response per person
From simple to secure: four ways to make sure each person responds only once.
Go to forms🧭 Which way is right for you
"One response per person (browser-based)": the simplest, but a second phone or a private browser window gets around it.
"One response per code": each national ID, personnel code, email or number only once, on any device. Best for employees, students and registered members.
Mobile number verification with an SMS code: the number must really belong to the respondent (see the "Mobile number verification" guide).
Personal invitations: each person gets their own one-time link, and you know who responded (see the "Contacts and invitations" guide).
🌐 Browser-based
- 1 Open the "Share" tab → "Link settings" card
- 2 Turn on "One response per person (browser-based)" The second time, the message "You have already responded to this form." is shown.
🔐 One response per code
- 1 Add an identifier question to the form "Employee ID", "National ID", "Email", "Mobile number", "Short text", "Number" or "Hidden field".
- 2 In "Share → Link settings", under "One response per code", choose that question The default is "Unlimited".
- 3 Try it once with a duplicate code You'll see the message "A response has already been submitted with this …. Each person can respond only once."
Persian and Latin digits and extra spaces are treated as the same, so changing how it's written won't get around it.
A code that has already responded can't respond again; older duplicate responses submitted before you turned this on are left untouched.
It's free. If two people submit with the same code at exactly the same moment, only one is recorded.
