Quotas and randomization
Caps per group, and random order to reduce bias.
Go to forms🎚️ A quota for each group: "200 women, 150 people from Tehran"
Respondents never see the target or the count; a group that's full just gets the ending message. Quota changes apply without republishing, and "Recount" rebuilds the counter from the responses.
- 1 Open the form → "Settings" tab → "Quotas" card → "New quota"
- 2 Enter the "Quota name" and "Target (complete responses)"
- 3 Set conditions in "Who is in this quota?" With "All conditions" or "Any condition"; for example, gender = female and province = Tehran.
- 4 Choose what happens "When the quota is full…" "End the form with a message" or "Go to another page"; you also decide whether "Store over-quota responses" is on.
Creating a new quota requires one of the "Organizations & research" plans (from "Team"); quotas you've already created keep working.
For a simple limit on one option (with no conditions), that option's "Quota" or "Capacity" section in the "Logic" tab is enough (see the guide "Option capacity and stock").
🔀 Randomization
You can randomize the order of pages and the order of a question's options to reduce "order bias".
You can pin options such as "None" so they always stay last.
