Datasets and lookup fields
Enter a personnel code and the rest of the details fill in automatically.
Go to datasets📇 What a dataset is
A table of your own data — such as a list of employees, products or branches. You import it from Excel in "Datasets"; responses to another form can also be the source.
🔍 Dataset lookup (Lookup)
- 1 Add the "Dataset lookup (Lookup)" field to the form from the "Automatic and system" category
- 2 Choose the dataset and say which column to search by For example, personnel code
- 3 Specify which columns should be poured into which fields For example, name and unit
Turn on "Lock filled fields" so the user can't change them.
Publishing this field requires the "Business" plan or higher, and it shows a lock badge in the field library.
🔒 Why it can't be forged
On submission, the server reads the values from the dataset again. If someone tampers with a locked value in the browser, it is not accepted.
