⚡ Presets and the step-by-step guide

A new exam opens with the "Step-by-step guide": "Type & purpose", "Questions", "Time & scoring", "Entry & security", "Results and certificate" and "Review & publish". Click "Full editor" whenever you like.

"Presets" set up all the settings for one use case in a single click: "Simple quiz", "Practice & self-assessment", "Classroom exam", "Formal exam", "Course certificate", "Hiring test" and "Placement test". They don't touch the questions.

🔁 Practice and self-assessment

  1. 1 In "Time & scoring" → "Attempts", set "Allowed attempts" to "Unlimited" Also set "Final score with multiple attempts": "Best attempt", "Last attempt" or "Average attempts".
  2. 2 In "Look & entry" → "Practice and self-assessment", turn on "Show the correct answer right after each question" The participant clicks "Check answer", their answer is locked, and they see "Correct answer:" with the "Description".
  3. 3 For fresh questions on each attempt, set selection to "Rule-based — a different set for each person" and click "Only from tags" in each rule These tags are the question "Tags" in the question bank.
Every preset except "Practice & self-assessment" turns instant feedback off; don't turn it on in a real graded exam.

🌍 Exams in English

In "Exam page appearance" → "Exam page language", choose English and click "Republish" so all the text on the exam page switches to English. For international participants, ask for a name and email, not a national ID.

⏱️ Time: whole exam, each section, each question

The server counts the total duration. "Timed sections" ("Split into sections" → "Add section") break the exam into sections with their own time limits, and the participant moves ahead through the "Go to the next section?" prompt.

"Time per question" → "Each question has its own timer": each page shows one question and going back is disabled.

If the participant's internet connection drops, answers are kept on the device and sent automatically once it's back; if the page was closed, unsaved answers are restored on return.

Timed sections are in the "Institute" plan (and "Enterprise"); per-question timing is free.

🛡️ Anti-cheating and webcam

In "Security", choose how violations are handled: "Off", "Warning", "Auto-submit" or "Score deduction". "Advanced anti-cheat settings" cover recording tab exits, "Force fullscreen mode", blocking copy-paste, right-click and text selection, and "Lock to the same IP".

Each exit immediately shows the "Leaving the exam page was recorded" window with the number of exits and the limit; the exam timer doesn't stop in the meantime.

Webcam: in the "Webcam" section, turn on "Periodic webcam snapshot" and set the "Snapshot interval" and "Retention". The participant gives consent on the start page and sees the "Camera is on" indicator; snapshots appear under "Participants → Attempts → Behavior".

Device lock (each person only on their own device) is the "Device lock" card on the "Delivery" tab; the "Exam on your own site, with entry for authorized people only" tutorial walks through it step by step.

Webcam and timed sections are in the "Institute" plan; the class list with "Roster only", contact groups and the device lock are available from "School" up; anti-cheat levels and the exit warning are free.
Webcam consent is optional: if the participant doesn't tick the box, the exam starts without the camera and no snapshots are taken.
"Second session warning" only records a second tab being opened in the same browser and doesn't stop entry from another device; for that, turn on device lock.

🎖️ Certificates, report cards and leaderboard

In "Results and certificate" → "certificate", turn on "Issue certificates for passing participants" and pick a design; "Custom text and signature" takes the title, text, signatories, signature image and organization seal. "Organization header on report cards and certificates" is here too.

There are 22 certificate designs: the seven basic designs are free, and the fifteen special designs are unlocked from the "School" or "Pro" plan up.

On the results page, the participant gets the "Certificate (PDF)", the "Certificate image" and the "PDF report card". Each certificate has a code and a QR code, and the verification page shows "Certificate is valid" with the name, exam, score and date.

"Leaderboard" (or "Anonymous leaderboard") shows the rankings to participants, and "Allow score appeals" enables the "Appeal the score for this question" button.

Certificates are only issued to those who pass, and only after results are released; "Manual actions" is for "Release results manually" and "Bulk certificate issuance".

📈 Analyzing results

The "Results & analytics" tab has a "Gradebook" with "Excel export" and "Item & class analysis": each question's difficulty and discrimination index, "Option analysis" and "Class comparison".

In "Participants", the "Group report card" view has the average, pass rate and "Score list", and "Export Excel (score list)" produces four sheets.

🌱 An exam that grows

Your exam already has participants? You can still add new questions: only later participants see them, and earlier participants' scores stay untouched. Questions already given to someone are locked with the "Already given to participants; its score and position are fixed" badge and only offer "Set aside a faulty question".

For several exams with the same fixed group, create one list in "Contacts" and link it to all of them in "Delivery" → "Contact groups" with "Link to this exam"; a new member immediately gets access to every linked exam.
