🧩 What the plugin does

The “Porsino Forms” plugin brings the forms, surveys and quizzes you build in Porsino into WordPress posts and pages: with a shortcode, the “Porsino form” block in Gutenberg, the Elementor widget or the “Add Porsino form” button in the classic editor — inline, or as a button and popup.

The form still runs on Porsino and responses land in your Porsino panel, not in the WordPress database, so conditional logic, Iranian fields, reports and exports are the same as in Porsino. The plugin is free and has no locks.

📥 Install

  1. 1 Get the zip file From the “WordPress form builder plugin” page on our site, or from the “WordPress plugin” card on any form’s “Share” tab.
  2. 2 In the WordPress dashboard go to “Plugins › Add New › Upload Plugin” Choose the file and click “Install Now”.
  3. 3 Click “Activate” A “Settings › Porsino” menu appears; the default mode, height, button text and button color are set there.
Requirements: WordPress 5.8 and PHP 7.4 or newer. Install a new version the same way over the old one; existing shortcodes keep working unchanged.

🔗 Connect your Porsino account

The connection is read-only: the titles of your and your teams’ forms and quizzes, the link address, publishing status and response counts. The responses themselves, files, reports, settings and billing never reach WordPress, and the plugin can’t create or change anything.

To disconnect, click “Disconnect” in the plugin, or go to “Settings › API & integrations” in Porsino and click “Disconnect” next to that site. Connecting the same site again revokes the previous key automatically.

  1. 1 In “Settings › Porsino” click “Connect account” The browser goes to Porsino’s permission page; if you’re not signed in, sign in first or sign up for free.
  2. 2 Read the site name and the list of permissions, then click “Allow” You come back to the WordPress dashboard and see the name of the connected account.
  3. 3 Now pick the form from a list in the block, the Elementor widget and the classic editor Search by title, address or short code.
Connecting is optional; the shortcode works with the form address without it.
A connection code is valid for 10 minutes and works once; if you see an “invalid connection code” error, click “Connect account” again.
The site must use https; plain http is accepted only for a test site on localhost, 127.0.0.1 or .test and .local addresses.

📝 Putting a form in a post or page

Gutenberg: add the “Porsino form” block and pick the form from the list (or paste its address).

Elementor: drag the “Porsino form” widget onto the page.

Classic editor: the “Add Porsino form” button above the editor inserts the shortcode.

Or copy any form’s shortcode from the “WordPress plugin” card on the “Share” tab. The form address can be the link slug, the permanent short code or the link itself.

Shortcode examples
[porsino form="14050721-3"]
[porsino form="14050721-3" mode="popup" label="Answer the form"]
[porsino form="14050721-3" utm="1" page="1" params="source=blog"]
[porsino form="14050721-5" type="quiz"]

🏷️ Shortcode attributes

form — the form’s slug, short code or link (required).

mode — inline (in the page with automatic height) or popup (button and popup).

height — the frame’s initial height in pixels; label — the button text; color — the button color (hex).

type — quiz for a quiz (a new-tab button, even without a connected account) or form.

utm, page and user with the value 1 — pass data into hidden fields; params — fixed values as key=value&key2=value2.

base — the address of your Porsino custom domain for this form.

🕵️ Passing page and user details into hidden fields

The plugin adds the data to the form’s address and the form stores it in a “Hidden field”; a value is saved only if the form has a hidden field with the same name. None of this is on by default.

utm="1" — the page’s utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content parameters; a hidden field with the “UTM” source and the same name.

page="1" — wp_page (the page address without parameters) and wp_title; a hidden field with the “URL parameter” source.

user="1" — wp_name and wp_email, only for a logged-in WordPress user; that page is marked “do not cache” for caching plugins.

params — any key of lowercase Latin letters, digits and “_” (up to 20 pairs, each value up to 200 characters); edit and resume are not accepted.

If you send the user’s name and email, say so in your site’s privacy policy; the plugin adds suggested text to WordPress’s privacy policy guide.

💬 Floating button and automatic popup

In “Settings › Porsino” choose a form for the floating button in the page corner; the form opens in a popup.

The automatic popup opens on one of three triggers: after a few seconds, after scrolling part of the page, or when the visitor is about to leave. How often: every time, once per visit, or once every few days.

Both can be limited to the home page, posts, pages or chosen IDs, with pages to exclude. Decisions are made in the browser, so page caching keeps working.

🛒 Post-purchase survey in WooCommerce

If WooCommerce is active, choose a form for the “Order received” page in “Settings › Porsino”. The form gets order_id and, if you turn them on, order_total, customer_name and customer_email too; create a hidden field with the “URL parameter” source and the same name for each.

The form is shown only when that order’s key is in the address — the same check WooCommerce itself makes on this page.

🎓 Quizzes

A quiz doesn’t run inside the site’s page: the plugin adds a “Start the quiz” button that opens it in a new tab, so the server-side timer, full screen and anti-cheating work properly. A quiz’s shortcode in Porsino already has type="quiz".

🛠️ If it doesn’t work

The form doesn’t show: the form must be published and its link active; check its status on the “Share” tab.

The popup button does nothing or the form height is wrong: exclude the porsino-forms script in optimization plugins that combine or delay JavaScript.

The form doesn’t open on your custom domain: give the domain address in “Settings › Porsino” or with the base attribute, and make sure the domain is active in Porsino.
