Who is the Formal · Illumination template for?

This template belongs to the “Formal” design and is most useful for these jobs and situations:

  • Bank and insurance jobs
  • Public offices and government companies

  • Legal and contracts specialist
  • Office and secretariat staff
  • Hiring exams and selection interviews

This template has a linear structure that applicant tracking systems read correctly, so it suits both job boards and direct applications.

About the Formal · Illumination design

The Formal design is what many Iranian organizations expect from a resume: a tidy table for name, title, contact details and city, an ID photo frame in the corner of the header, and sections with double-ruled titles that resemble official forms. Everything is symmetrical, calm and predictable.

If you’re preparing a resume for a bank, a government or semi-public company, insurance, the education system or the office of a large organization, this template matches the recruiter’s expectations. Persian versions show dates in the Persian calendar, and the Word export has the same look in case the application form asks for an editable file.

In the “Illumination” variation, the header and headings are adorned with Persian book-art ornament — matte gold on a light ground; a grandeur reminiscent of precious manuscripts.

A photo frame is part of this design; you choose the photo shape (round, rounded, square or no photo) yourself.

Sections in this template

A resume in this template is made of these sections; each has its own form in the editor:

  • Header and contact details: Name, job title, email, phone, city, website and photo (optional).
  • Professional summary: Three or four sentences about your specialty, years of experience and most important achievement.
  • Work experience: Title, organization, city, start and end dates and up to 12 achievement bullets per job.
  • Education: Degree, field, university, years and GPA.
  • Skills: With levels from one to five and groups (for example software, programming languages, soft skills).
  • Languages: Each language with its proficiency level.
  • Certificates and courses: Course name, issuer, date and verification link.
  • Projects: Name, your role, link and a short description.
  • Awards and links: Awards, rankings and your LinkedIn, GitHub or portfolio link.
  • Interests: A few short items that show your personality.

Reorder sections by dragging and hide any you don’t need; that section’s data isn’t deleted and comes back whenever you want.

Tips for filling in this template

  • Order sections by importance for that particular job ad; you rearrange them by dragging in the appearance settings.
  • In a single-column template, keep each experience bullet to one line starting with an action verb: “launched”, “reduced”.
  • Write your job title in exactly the words of the job ad so the screening system can find it.
  • If you have more than ten years of experience, summarize older jobs in one line so the resume doesn’t exceed two pages.
