About the Academic · Classic design
An academic CV differs from a job resume: it is longer, education and research come first, and publications, research grants, teaching and awards each get their own section. The Academic design implements exactly this structure with numbered sections, book-like typography and a list styled like scholarly references.
If you’re applying for a faculty position, sabbatical, postdoc or admission abroad, make an English version of the same template too; the data is shared and only the document language changes. List papers in the projects or certificates section with a DOI link so reviewers can go straight to the source.
The “Classic” palette has warm neutrals such as gold, cream and brown; a classic, dignified feel tied to experience and credibility.
A photo is optional in this template; if you leave it out, the header is laid out without an empty space.

A resume in this template is made of these sections; each has its own form in the editor:
- Header and contact details: Name, job title, email, phone, city, website and photo (optional).
- Professional summary: Three or four sentences about your specialty, years of experience and most important achievement.
- Work experience: Title, organization, city, start and end dates and up to 12 achievement bullets per job.
- Education: Degree, field, university, years and GPA.
- Skills: With levels from one to five and groups (for example software, programming languages, soft skills).

- Projects: Name, your role, link and a short description.

Reorder sections by dragging and hide any you don’t need; that section’s data isn’t deleted and comes back whenever you want.
Tips for filling in this template
- Order sections by importance for that particular job ad; you rearrange them by dragging in the appearance settings.
- In a single-column template, keep each experience bullet to one line starting with an action verb: “launched”, “reduced”.
- Write your job title in exactly the words of the job ad so the screening system can find it.
- If you have more than ten years of experience, summarize older jobs in one line so the resume doesn’t exceed two pages.
