Who is the Two-column · Arabesque template for?

This template belongs to the “Two columns” design and is most useful for these jobs and situations:

  • Project engineer and technical specialist
  • Middle manager with a long track record
  • Consultant and senior specialist
  • IT and network support specialist
  • Technician and maintenance specialist
  • Anyone who wants a one-page resume

This template has a linear structure that applicant tracking systems read correctly, so it suits both job boards and direct applications.

About the Two-column · Arabesque design

The Two-column design is for resumes whose content spills beyond one page. The header has two halves — name and title on one side, contact details on the other — and the body splits into two equal columns separated by a thin line. Experience and projects go in the wider column; skills, languages and certificates in the other.

Someone with ten years of experience, several specialist courses and many projects usually has to choose between “write it all” and “keep it to one page”. This template makes both possible with smart spacing. If the resume is still long, hide less important sections from the appearance settings; the data isn’t deleted.

The “Arabesque” variation brings the winding floral lines of Persian art into the column borders; a soft ornament that makes the two-column structure more refined.

A photo is optional in this template; if you leave it out, the header is laid out without an empty space.

Sections in this template

A resume in this template is made of these sections; each has its own form in the editor:

  • Header and contact details: Name, job title, email, phone, city, website and photo (optional).
  • Professional summary: Three or four sentences about your specialty, years of experience and most important achievement.
  • Work experience: Title, organization, city, start and end dates and up to 12 achievement bullets per job.
  • Education: Degree, field, university, years and GPA.
  • Skills: With levels from one to five and groups (for example software, programming languages, soft skills).
  • Languages: Each language with its proficiency level.
  • Certificates and courses: Course name, issuer, date and verification link.
  • Projects: Name, your role, link and a short description.
  • Awards and links: Awards, rankings and your LinkedIn, GitHub or portfolio link.
  • Interests: A few short items that show your personality.

Reorder sections by dragging and hide any you don’t need; that section’s data isn’t deleted and comes back whenever you want.

Tips for filling in this template

  • Give the wide column to experience and projects and the narrow one to skills, languages and certificates.
  • To stay on one page, reduce the font size slightly (down to 90%) or hide less important sections.
  • Put at most five or six sections in each column so the eye doesn’t get lost between the two.
  • Write dates consistently (month and year); in the Persian version the template engine shows them in the Persian calendar.
